“Saturday Night Live,” was the big winner on the first night of the Creative Arts Emmys, earning six Emmys, followed by Ron Howard’s “Jim Henson: Idea Man,” “The Oscars” and the animated series “Blue Eye Samurai,” which collected four trophies apiece.
The Television Academy handed out Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday in nonfiction and nonscripted programming at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. On Sunday, the two-part Creative Arts Emmy ceremony will focus on scripted content categories.
