Fire breaks out at Everett apartment building, injuring 3

Over 20 people were displaced, and a dozen units were damaged.

EVERETT, Wash. — A fire that broke out in an Everett apartment building Friday morning injured three people, according to the Everett Fire Department. 

The fire was at Fulton Crossing Apartments at 120 SE Everett Mall Way. Smoke and flames were visible from the second and third floors of the building. Witnesses told dispatchers that people were calling for help. 

When crews arrived, they found the fire had spread to the stairwell and attic. 

It took 90 minutes to fight the fire, the department said.
