The GLAAD board of directors have expressed their support for the organization’s CEO and president Sarah Kate Ellis in light of a recent report from the New York Times accusing her of lavish spending.
According to the article, Ellis expensed a $21,743 first-class flight to Cannes Lions and used the nonprofit’s funds to renovate her home office, among other items.
In a statement from the nonprofit’s board of directors, they state that Ellis has been “at the helm” of revenue growth over the past decade, and state that they are proud of the work she has accomplished.
