PARIS, France — After one of the best rounds of the day, a former University of Washington Husky is right in the thick of contention in the men’s golf competition at the Paris Olympics.
C.T. Pan turned pro in 2015 after competing for UW, and surged into a tie for fifth with a second-round 65 at Le Golf National. Pan is just behind some of the biggest names in professional golf, including major winners Xander Schauffele, Hideki Matsuyama and Jon Rahm. Pan is three shots back of the lead at -8 under par.
