Banijay Group, the listed banner previously named FL Entertainment whose content production and distribution arm is behind “Big Brother,” “Versailles” and “SAS Rogue Heroes,” saw its revenues rise by 8.6% to €2 billion ($2.1 billion) over the first half of 2024.
While revenues from online sports betting and gaming skyrocketed by 41.7% to €698 million during the first half, those from content production, distribution and live events dipped by 2.7% to €1.4 billion. The banner said these results reflected “anticipated amplified seasonality of major scripted show deliveries” and the “consolidation of Balich Wonder Studio,” a live event company which has organized several Olympics’ ceremonies.
