Washington officials react to shooting at Donald Trump rally

The former president’s campaign says he is “fine” after a shooting at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The gunman and 1 attendee were killed.

SEATTLE — Washington officials are responding to the chaotic events of a shooting at a political rally for former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday. 

Trump was injured when shots were fired and Secret Service agents quickly whisked him off stage and away from the rally. Trump posted on social media that a bullet hit him in the ear.

The shooting is now under investigation as an attempted assassination of the former president, according to the FBI.
