Armed woman taken into custody after standoff at Seattle FBI building

​Seattle police say the woman entered the building on Third Avenue and was pointing a gun to her chest.

SEATTLE — A woman was taken into custody after a standoff at a Federal Bureau of Investigations building in downtown Seattle.

According to the Seattle Police Department, a woman walked into the building pointing a gun at her chest “for unknown reasons” just after 3 p.m. on June 12.

The building was on lockdown for over an hour, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD). The SPD Hostage Negotiation Team, Department of Homeland Security, King County Sheriff’s Office, FBI and SWAT all responded to the incident.
