The 2024 hurricane season is expected to be one of the worst in the last two decades, according to meteorological observations.
In a “normal” year, the season produces 14.4 named storms but this year, 23 are expected. Likewise, 7.2 hurricanes are produced but we’ll see no less than 11.
Five of those 11 hurricanes are forecast to fall into categories 3–4-5, according to experts at the University of Colorado.
Two weeks ago, the US State Department issued an alert for 7 Caribbean countries instructing Americans what to do in case of a hurricane landfall.
Those countries include Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Barbados, Saint Vincent
