Tacoma’s Pothole Palooza featuring ‘Phil the Pothole’ begins next week

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma is addressing the city’s potholes during a weeklong emphasis that begins Monday.

Pothole Palooza will start June 3 and run through June 7. Over the week, the city has designated 10 different areas where scheduled work will take place. Two projects will be undertaken over each day, with road closures and detours in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Street Operations Team said crews will focus on arterial roadways that “have a large impact on the city.”
