Republican Reps. Jaime Herrera Beutler and Dan Newhouse joined Washington‘s Democrat representatives Wednesday by voting to impeach President Donald Trump after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, spurring violence and resulting in five deaths.
The House of Representatives on Wednesday debated and voted to impeach Trump for a second time for “incitement of insurrection.” House leaders moved quickly to bring the article of impeachment to the House floor with just days left in the president’s term after Trump supporters attacked the Capitol a week ago while Congress was certifying President-Elect Joe Biden’s win in the presidential race — an election Trump has claimed multiple times
