Cancún International Airport is poised for a significant transformation with an investment of $24.4 billion announced by Aeropuertos del Sureste (ASUR). Between 2024 and 2028, this investment will focus on enhancements across ASUR’s nine air terminals in Mexico, with Cancún Airport being the primary beneficiary, receiving 75% of the total projected funds.
Although the specifics of the work plan remain undisclosed, ASUR has outlined the investment schedule: $2.624 billion in 2024, $4.493 billion in 2025, $5.5 billion in 2026, $3.861 billion in 2027, and $4.999 billion in 2028.
