There are a few celebrations that can top those that happen while ringing in the new year. One of the best cities to celebrate the NYE is Chiang Mai, Thailand. Located in the mountains north of Bangkok, Chiang Mai is the largest city in the northern area of the country and boasts a gorgeous landscape centered around the Ping River.
